Purpose of this notice
This privacy notice describes how R Talwar & Associates, Chartered Accountants (“we”, “us” or “our”) collects and uses Personal Data, in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA), the Data Protection Act and any other applicable data protection law in India (collectively “data protection law”).
It applies to Personal Data provided to us, both by individuals or by others.

Who has access to your information and data sharing
RTA employees will have access to your personal information but have a duty to respect confidentiality of information acquired under the ethical standard that the firm are required to follow.

We will not sell your information to third parties and will only share personal data with third parties where we are:

where it is necessary to administer with third-party service providers, agents, subcontractors and other associated organisations for the purposes of completing tasks and providing services to you on our behalf. For example, IT services , Digital Signature Services ,cloud services, professional advisory services, administration services etc.
When third party service providers are used, only personal information that is necessary will be disclosed. All third-party service providers are required to have appropriate security measure to protect your personal data.

Your personal information is stored on our electronic server systems and on paper in our filing system. Our electronic archives are stored within India on our server or in the external storage devices such as Hard Disks and are accessed by our staff for the purposes set out above.
Transfers Outside India
Personal data in India is protected by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) but some other countries may not necessarily have the same high standard of protection for your personal data. R Talwar & Associates, Chartered Accountants does not transfer or store any personal data outside India.
Consequences of Not Providing Your Data
You are not obligated to provide your personal information to R Talwar & Associates, Chartered Accountants, however, as this information is required for us to provide you with our services, we will not be able to offer some/all our services without it.
How Long We Keep Your Data
R Talwar & Associates, Chartered Accountants only ever retains personal information for as long as is necessary and we have strict review and retention policies in place to meet these obligations. We generally hold your personal information for a minimum of 8 years after which time it will be destroyed. We may hold your information for a longer period than 8 years where we feel this is appropriate, e.g. in relation to Income Tax /GST?VAT Assessments, where historic information may be usually held permanently.
Where you have consented to us using your details for direct marketing, we will keep such data until you notify us otherwise and/or withdraw your consent.
